Ultrasonic Flume Flow Meter
HydroMetric ultrasonic flume flow meter is a non-contact open-channel instrument for measuring water level over a calibrated flume or weir and converting the level signal to flow. It is intended for wastewater, drainage, irrigation and water-treatment channels where a non-contact measurement method reduces fouling and mechanical wear.
Technical Specifications
| Measurement principle | Ultrasonic time-of-flight level measurement with open-channel flow conversion |
|---|---|
| Installation | Non-contact probe above the channel/flume |
| Primary structures | Flume or weir applications; project configuration depends on hydraulic structure |
| Typical output | Configured for integration with monitoring and control systems |
| Project configuration | Range, flume/weir equation, output and enclosure selected to suit the site |
Applications
Wastewater plant channels, industrial discharge channels, municipal drainage, irrigation canals and process-water open-channel flow measurement.
Selection Guidance
Provide the flume/weir type and dimensions, expected minimum/maximum level and flow, probe mounting distance, ambient conditions and required output/communication. HydroMetric confirms the final measuring range and hydraulic configuration during engineering selection.
